  • Technical Questions should be directed to Dusty Smith at 304-414-6859 or dotprocurementtechques@wv.gov with a submission deadline of June 10th by 10:00AM

PLEASE NOTE THE LOCATION WHERE THE BIDS ARE TO BE SUBMITTED WITHIN THE CONTRACTS... THEY ARE NOT ALL THE SAME.

These purchase order contracts are much the same as those let in 2023.  Price adjustment for diesel fuel, which was added in 2022, revised in 2023 remains the same.  These price adjustments can be found within Section 4 of each contract.  Each contract contains slightly different factors due to the nature of the individual contract and what work is conducted (Production/Hauling/Laydown).  These factors were derived from the factor listed in Section 109.9 of the Standard Specification and subsequent research conducted by WVDOH.

If you have any questions relating to the price adjustment, contact John Crane at jcrane@asphaltwv.com or 304-342-1166.

WofA Spotlight – Deanna Stull

By JCrane | 2025/01/11

Deanna, or Dee to her friends, has been a member of Mountaineer Contractor’s team for over 8 years. During her time, Dee has been primarily responsible for the day to day traffic control operations of their various paving projects. Dee did not come into the construction industry through traditional means. In her past life, while working as a bartender and cook, she had a regular customer that worked construction. While discussing a career that provided the benefits and retirement she was looking for, he recommended Dee join her local Labor Union.
“And the rest is history as they say. There is no time like the present to try a new career path in the construction industry. Whether you are attending college, vocational school or looking for a change in your current career, there is plenty of room for growth and opportunity in construction,” Dee said.
