The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) released its Carbon Reduction Program (CRP) Implementation Guidance, unlocking $6.4 billion in formula funding over five years to help states and localities develop carbon reduction strategies. While the CRP was established in the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA)of 2021, also known as the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL), NAPA sought inclusion of paving activities by highlighting asphalt pavement's many climate-friendly technologies, to help states and localities meet their climate goals.

Governor Jim Justice, joined by WVDOT leaders in Morgantown on Wednesday April 6,announced the 2022 paving program. Gov. Justice stated that the program is set to include over 800 miles of resurfacing throughout all 55 counties. The announced projects amount to roughly $208 million worth of improvements to West Virginia’s highway system. 

AGC of America and survey partner, HCSS, are asking all highway and transportation members to help improve work zone safety by completing a brief survey.

The Asphalt Pavement Association is pleased to offer, for the 29th year, a voluntary technical services program to assist you in completing the 2022 CES. As with last year, all sources are to submit their CES Emission Inventory electronically using the Division of Air Quality’s (DAQ) State and Local Emissions Inventory System (SLEIS) computer program no later than May 1, 2022.
