WVDOH FY2023 YEAR-END REVENUES

The WVDOH closes out the 2023 Fiscal Year with Privilege Tax on vehicles sales remaining strong at 6% over the yearly estimate. Motor fuel tax also exceeded estimates, although by a smaller amount at only 1% over the estimate. Actual total year end revenues for FY 2023, which ended June 30, were $905,700,000, short by $11 million of the Governor’s estimated collections of $894,754,000. The actual collections of $906 million however exceed the actual FY2021, 2020 collections of $858, $848, and $816 million respectively.  In addition, the Legislature approved a $125 million general fund appropriations transfer for FY 2023, bringing the total to$1,019,732,000.
